My name is Carol aka Cboo.
I was born and raised in Bristol Tenn. and except for a short
time as a child when my parents moved to Chicago,
I have lived in Bristol my whole life.
I have been married to my husband Ted for 36 years
(that to me is a big accomplishment) and I have two grown
sons Timothy who is 30 and Brian who is 28.
We live on a farm and my husband is retired.
I work for a health corporation at a local medical center.
Shortly before my father died in 1984 he said that
he wished someone had done a family history on our family name.
Well shortly afterward I started in genealogy and 23 yrs later I am still fascinated.
My only regret is that daddy died before he could see the results of my work.
In the early years of my genealogy work, a cousin and myself worked together
and we went all over upper East Tn and Southwest Va. to courthouses
cemeteries and libraries. We had a wonderful time and found a wealth
of information. Now we mostly work from the computer
which is nice, but sometimes I miss our trips.
My other big hobby is Scrapbooking. I started scrapbooking
about a year ago and I love it. I only did one paper scrapbook,
I really didn't care for that. I feel in to digital scrapbooking
actually accidentally. I had inherited loads of family pictures from
both sides of my family and my husband had a lot from his family.
Also having two children I had lots of family pictures of my own.
I decided last year to make a picture album for my mother with
her parents and all her brothers and sisters. When I put them
in the albums they seemed really boring so I thought if I could
just frame them up and maybe add flowers or something it would
be so much better. I started out just using clipart. Then one day
while I was looking around for vintage clip art I ran across a digital
scrapbook site and the rest is history. I am really excited about working
with the 2MrsSumners I have always loved their work.
